Continued Supply Chain Issues

Continued Supply Chain Issues: I KNOW everyone is tired of hearing about problems in the “supply chain,” but it is a REAL THING!
There has been an Avian Flu outbreak. It is causing shortages and delays across the board, from pet food to pet treats. Fertilizer has nearly quadrupled in the past year or so. We have been having MAJOR issues getting things like hardware, riding boots and helmets in stock.
Prices are rising almost weekly. The economic forecast is calling for HUGE increases later this year in hay prices. Some predictions put coastal round bales in the area of around $200 each. If you have a place to store it, and a source, it is STRONGLY suggested that you stock up now while you can.
Food prices have gone way up. What better time than now to start that garden if you don’t already have one. Look into purchasing your protein sources such as beef, lamb, goat and pork by the animal, half animal or even quarter animal.  You can go in with your neighbors to do this. That makes it a lot more manageable to purchase and more cost effective, too.  There are tons of local livestock providers! You can help out an FFA or 4-H student this fall by buying from them through the market sales at your local county fair.
Arcola Feed is open Monday-Friday: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call or visit us anytime between then. We would be happy to stock you up before more prices increase due to Continued Supply Chain Issues!
