Delicious Sweet Potato Casserole Recipe

Delicious Sweet Potato Casserole bowl with a spoon in itDelicious Sweet Potato Casserole Recipe Time! While I know this  Casserole is generally made for Thanksgiving and Christmas, but this recipe is delicious and it can made any time of the year. I really like this recipe because is has a sweet crust on top and it has pecans. 

Ingredients:

  • 2 – 29oz cans of sweet potatoes(drained)
  • 2 eggs 
  • 1/2 cup of milk 
  • 1.5 cups brown sugar(divided)
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • One tsp salt 
  • 1 tsp cinnamon 
  • 1/4 cup butter(melted)
  • 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup chopped pecans 

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and grease 13×9 dish 
  2. In large bowl, mash the potatoes and the eggs, milk, 3/4 cup brown sugar, vanilla, salt, and cinnamon  – Mix well 
  3. Spread this mixture in the dish
  4. In separate bowl, mix remaining brown sugar, flour, and butter together – then mix in pecans 
  5. Sprinkle this mixture on top 
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until brown on top
  7. Let sit for 10 minutes, serve
