Pricing Increase!

Surely you have noticed an increase in pricing at the pump, and at the grocery store. Unfortunately, we have had the same across the board price increases here at Arcola Feed, too.

Whole corn has seen a $3/bag increase in the past 6 months. There have been increases in in ALL feed due to the increases in commodity prices. We are hoping some of these will come down a bit in the next 30 to 45 days. Our alfalfa, which is trucked in from Artesia, New Mexico, had it’s first price increase in nearly two years.

We have had issues getting many tack and apparel items, too. Currently, most of our helmets, paddock boots and half chaps that are not in stock in the store have a wait time that is anywhere from 30 days to up to nearly 5 months, depending upon manufacturer. Prices on these items are increasing monthly, and wait times, due to shipping, and lack of workforce here, are increasing almost daily.

We are doing the best we can to find alternate styles (like the Ovation riding boots) and designs on some of these items, but it doesn’t seem to be getting any better any time soon.

If you have any questions about items, or the increase in pricing, feel free to call us at Arcola Feed. We can be reached at 281-431-1014. We are open Monday-Friday: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
