Speaking of summer heat, now is the time to plant your melons if you haven’t already done so. Give them room to spread, keep them watered, and they will reward you as the season rolls on.

Now is also a good time to start thinking ahead. Believe it or not, your fall garden is right around the corner. Begin getting your fall garden seeds together, because lots of good stuff can be started indoors over the next few weeks. Those seedlings will be ready to go in the ground in the next 45 to 60 days.
