Lillian’s Pickled Okra Recipe

Two jars of Pickled Okra If you have a garden, and you are growing okra, you probably have a LOT of it.  If you have ever wondered what you can do with all that excess okra, here is my grandmother Lillian’s pickled okra recipe.   

Ingredients

  • 6 quarts small okra
  • 6 heads of dill
  • 6 garlic buds
  • 2 quarts water
  • 1 quart white vinegar
  • 1 cup salt

Directions

  1. Wash okra dill and garlic.
  2. Pack into clean jars (you can use any size jar, with standard or large lids)
  3. Bring water, vinegar, and salt to a boil.
  4. Pour over okra, seal jars.
  5. Let set for 10 days before using.
