Mark your calendars, friends! Our next Low Cost Vaccination Clinic is this Saturday, August 1st, and it’s the perfect time to get your pets up to date on their vaccines.

The best part? No appointment, no exam fee, and it’s all first come, first serve! Just come on by, check in, and we’ll take great care of your precious fur babies.

Remember, rabies vaccines are required by law, so this is an easy way to stay covered. While you’re here, we can also do heartworm checks. Heartworm disease is transmitted by mosquitoes, and here on the Texas coast, those pests are everywhere. The good news is that heartworm is very easy to prevent. Treating it, though, is difficult, expensive, and sadly doesn’t always work, so prevention truly is the way to go.

A few simple tips to keep everyone safe and comfortable: dogs must be on a leash, and cats must be in a crate, preferably leashed or harnessed too. It’s so hot outside right now, so bring a second person along for the ride if you can. That way, one of you can stay in the car with the A/C running and the pets cool while the other waits in line. Don’t forget to bring some water for them as well!

Once you’re checked in, grab your animals and come on inside. This keeps them out of the heat, away from the crowd, and cuts down on anxiety for everyone.
