May Gardening Tips: How Does Your Garden Grow?

May Gardening Tips" Here's a photo of garden sprinklersHere are some May Gardening Tips! How is your garden faring with this incredibly hot, dry weather we have experienced lately? Here at Arcola Feed, we feel the struggle right alongside you. We started irrigating our plants heavily back in March. Normally, we do not need to start heavy irrigation until right about this time of year! The intense heat certainly threw our local growing season a major curveball.

If you lost some delicate plants to the harsh sun, do not worry. You can still rebuild your garden beds! We still carry a pretty good supply of fresh vegetables and healthy herbs from Bonnie right here at the store. Whether you need to replace a few wilted tomatoes or you just want to get a late start on your summer planting, we have exactly what you need to get growing again.

Beyond the backyard garden beds, we know this drought hits our local farmers incredibly hard. We see the effects every day. Our local pastures look completely bare, and we know there is not much hay to be found anywhere right now. We deeply understand the stress this puts on your livestock and your livelihood.

We sincerely hope we get some much-needed rain and weather relief very soon. Until those rain clouds finally roll in, come visit us at Arcola Feed. Let us help you keep your gardens green and your animals happy through this tough season!
