National Daughter Day!

Today is National Daughter Day! Do you have a daughter who has brought joy and light to your life? If you do, give her a hug, tell her you love her. If she isn’t local, give her a call, tell her you love her! Tell her how much she means to you and your family!

My daughter, Alex is very special to me. She is an only child, and literally grew up in the feed store, coming to work with me from the time she was three days old. When the feed store was located on Highway 6, she would sleep on top of the dog food bags. They were almost stacked to the ceiling. Customers would come in and comment that one day she was going to fall off, and smack the floor….she never did.

She is a grown woman now, with a life of her own. My daughter has a wonderful fiance, and is working and living in College Station. She graduated from Ridge Point High School with honors, earning lots of scholarships from academics. Through her love of Brahman Cattle, she even was able to visit Australia on a three month scholarship trip.

She is an accomplished photographer and artist. Her picture, taken at the Brahman All American of Megan Lambert with her heifer, became the logo for the Brahman Foundation. She received two Bachelor’s degrees from Texas A&M, and is in the middle of applications and interviews for vet school for the fall of 2022. To say I am proud of her is an understatement. If you read this, Alex, mom and dad love you!

In conclusion, today is National Daughter Day! I hope everyone enjoys it!
