Today is a day of celebration for the United States Navy, as it is National Navy Day. The Navy was originally founded as the Continental Navy in October of 1775 during the American Revolution. The Navy is vital for sea control. In addition, maritime security, and logistics of transportation of military supplies by ship. The navy currently has a size of almost 350,000 active-duty personnel that man the almost 500 ships and over 2,500 aircraft.

One interesting fact about the navy is that the United States has the largest navy in the world. Here at Arcola Feed, we always support all our military personnel. The Navy holds a special place in our heart! My great-grandfather served in the Navy during WWII. Interestingly enough, he was stationed at Pearl Harbor. He was present during the attack by the Japanese in 1941.
