Pearl Harbor Remembrance
Pearl Harbor Remembrance: On this day in 1941, the world changed forever. The attack on Pearl Harbor took the lives of over 2,400 Americans and launched our nation into World War II. December 7th is a day of remembrance – of bravery, sacrifice, and resilience. Here in Texas, we hold those values close to heart.
Our state sent thousands of young men and women to serve in the years that followed, many from small rural towns and farms just like ours. These heroes left behind families, ranches, and responsibilities to defend our freedoms. Their legacy lives on in the work ethic, courage, and community spirit that define country life today.
As we go about our daily chores – feeding cattle, fixing fences, caring for the land—it’s worth pausing to reflect on what their service gave us: the chance to live freely, to work hard, and to raise our families under open skies.
If you have a veteran in your family or community, take a moment today to thank them. Share a story, shake their hand, or simply listen. These personal connections keep history alive.
At Arcola Feed, we honor all who have served and continue to serve. Stop by the store today to see our flag display and visit with our team – we’re proud to be part of a community that remembers its heroes and keeps their spirit alive every day.
