Fort Bend County Fair: Exhibition Day of Animals

Today starts the first exhibition day of animals at the Fort Bend County Fair! Turkeys show tonight at 6 p.m. If you have a chance, head out to Rosenberg and cheer these kiddos on as they exhibit their birds.

There are several daily junior livestock shows through the end of the fair, goats rabbits, commercial heifers and goats show tomorrow. The fair continues for another 9 days, concluding with the junior heifer show on Saturday, October 2nd.

Other events happening at the fair are the reunion rodeo, where former Fort Bend county residents return and compete against each other once again. There is a professional rodeo, which includes a calf scramble, where youth from our county compete to catch a calf so they can win a certificate to purchase a heifer of their own.

This is a great way for youth to become involved in agriculture! This is how our daughter, Alex got her start with her own herd. You can find the complete fair schedule at the Fort Bend County Fair website. Hopefully, you can make it to the first exhibition day of animals!
